New Hitachi EM Service Company Formed
Nissei Sangyo Co Ltd and HISCO have announced the formation of a new company - effective 1 October 2001 - dedicated to the service and maintenance of the complete range of Hitachi Electron Microscopes. This new company, called Hitachi Instruments Service Company (HISCO Europe), will have its headquarters in Germany with a UK office operating from the existing location in Wokingham, Berkshire.
The philosophy behind the new company is to provide EM customers with more than just an instrument maintenance and repair capability. All existing EM contracts with Nissei Sangyo/Hitachi Scientific Instruments will, according to the company, be seamlessly transferred to HISCO Europe and customers will be encouraged to review their current service arrangements and discuss a package that will suit their exact requirements. Service engineers currently with Hitachi will continue their roles within the new organisation.
