MRS Fall Meeting

The 2004 Fall Meeting & Exhibit of the Materials Research Society (MRS) takes place from 29 November to 3 December 2004 in Boston, MA, USA. The meeting, with 42 technical symposia and almost 4,400 oral and poster presentations, is divided into seven distinct topical clusters. A blend of new areas as well as established research fields, the symposium topics represent the current trends in interdisciplinary materials research.

Advances in fields ranging from biomaterials for tissue engineering or drug delivery to nanoscale order and structure in materials systems, to microbattery and micropower systems are featured. Many joint sessions are also integrated into the technical programme due to the significant interplay among symposium topics.

In addition to the technical meeting, a large-scale exhibition featuring over 210 international exhibitors from all sectors of the global materials science and engineering communities will be held from the Tuesday through to the Thursday in the Hynes Convention Center, second level. Research Tools Seminars will also be offered again this autumn. This educational seminar series integrates the MRS exhibit with the technical meeting and focuses on the scientific basis and practical application of commercially available, state-of-the-art tools for materials research.

The programme for the 2004 MRS Fall Meeting is available in its entirety on the MRS website: www.mrs.org/meetings/fall2004/
