Ege Seramik Aims to Greatly Increase Sanitaryware Exports

The Polat Holding (Turkey) company Ege Vitrifye - which currently exports
around 35% of its production - is aiming to increase that share to 65%. Ege
Seramik, the sister company manufacturing ceramic tile, already exports 50%
of its production.

The company holds certification to ISO 9001, the French UPEC standard and
the German DQS standard.

Ege was founded in 1972, is ranked in the top 20 in its sector in the world
and is the third largest producer in Turkey. Current capacities are
approximately 22 million square metres of tile and 500,000 pieces of
sanitaryware.

Polat Holding also operates Polat Madencilik which is active in the area of
ceramic raw materials.
