Datapaq Celebrates 20th Anniversary

This month Datapaq Ltd (Cambridge, England) is celebrating its 20th anniversary. Founded in 1984, the company is a recognised leader for in-process temperature measurement and analysis systems, providing manufacturing companies around the world with key information on the effectiveness of their ovens, kilns and furnaces.

In its first 20 years, Datapaq products have improved and expanded enormously from their original designs. The first Datapaq systems were designed for the paint curing industry, but these days the systems can profile a wide range of niche markets from high temperature, long duration processes in the kiln and furnace industries, to rotomoulding oven processes, and even through to deep fat fryer cooking processes. The company is extremely well known in the ceramic industry for its Kiln Tracker system. Around the world in different industries, Datapaq systems are used by giants such as American Standard, Daimler-Chrysler, DuPont, Ford, General Electric, Hewlett Packard, Sony and Akzo Nobel.

Twenty years have also seen a huge geographical expansion for the company. From the original offices in the UK and USA, Datapaq now has main offices in Germany, Shanghai and Shenzhen, China, plus a network of over 100 agents world-wide.

Datapaq offers temperature profiling systems in five major areas: Oven Tracker for the finishing industry; Reflow Tracker for electronics; Furnace Tracker for heat treaters; Kiln Tracker for ceramics; and Food Tracker for food processors. The company added: "To become the leader, Datapaq has produced, and will continue to produce, systems that are the most durable, accurate and easiest to use in the world. No one combines highly accurate data loggers, rigged thermal barriers and analytical software better".
