CSMA Ltd Joins Forces with CERAM

On 1 October 2008 CSMA Ltd, Europe's leading surface and materials analysis company, merged with another company in its parent organisation (the CERAM Group), CERAM Research Ltd. CSMA will be a division of CERAM Research Ltd and will be known as ‘CERAM Surface and Materials Analysis’.

CERAM Research Ltd, which trades as CERAM, is a global materials technology consultancy, specialising in analysis, testing and problem-solving for a wide range of industries, including medical, construction, energy, aerospace, consumer, electronics and healthcare.

The coming together of CSMA Ltd and CERAM will afford both new and existing clients an extended service offering, thanks to the resources and competencies that the two companies currently provide.  With a combined staff of one hundred and eighty, consisting of highly skilled scientists and technical consultants, and with an impressive array of the latest testing equipment and laboratory facilities, including a UKAS-accredited test-house, clients are sure to benefit from the merger.

Chris Pickles, Managing Director of the former CSMA Ltd is excited about the new chapter for the company. He says:

“Over the past twenty five years we’ve become known throughout Europe as the experts in surface analysis. Becoming part of CERAM, with its strong UK base and an increasing global presence, means that we will be able to extend this expertise to clients worldwide.”
