Ceramic Armour Book Releases
The American Ceramic Society (Westerville, OH, USA) has announced the addition of two books to its catalogue.
'Ceramic Armor Materials by Design' brings together papers on ceramic armour presented by authorities from around the world. Covering topics from ceramic armour development to processing, manufacturing and insertion, the book is aimed at researchers in university, industry and government laboratories as well as those industries involved in ceramic armour and high performance structural ceramics.
The latest achievements in the area of development, design, modelling and evaluation of ceramic armour and armour systems are included in 'Ceramic Armour and Armour Systems' which is due out in December 2003. ACerS says this is a must-have book for ceramic and materials scientists, engineers and students working with the development, manufacturing and study of ceramic armour. It is also for those who design and evaluate armour systems and for those who select and use armour products. The papers covered were presented at the 105th ACerS Annual Meeting in Nashville in 2003.
