Bayer Helps Optimise Inventories

Bayer Technology Services is showcasing the new optimisation software TIPOPT at the German Logistics Congress in Berlin (19-21 October). This software can reduce warehousing costs by up to 30%, says the company, by optimising inventories.

It optimises the level and position of inventories in the supply chain network without reducing the high level of service. Dr Hanjo Rossi will provide international trade visitors with detailed information on TIPOPT and examples of the potential savings in a presentation entitled 'Lower inventories and a high level of service - a contradiction in terms?'

Over 2,500 participants from 20 countries are expected to attend the 22nd German Logistics Congress. This is the third time that Bayer Technology Services will be showing its supply chain and logistics products. The BTS exhibition team led by Professor Ludger Bruell will present the full spectrum of products and services offered by the company, ranging from consulting, engineering and construction and logistical IT systems to the introduction of advanced planning and scheduling (APS) tools.
