Ceramic Suppliers Participate in Trade Mission to South Africa

The North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry (Stoke-on-Trent, Staffs, England) is taking a group of business representatives to South Africa as part of its goal to help local companies become more competitive in the global market. The visit will take place from 7-11 November 2005 and will take in both Johannesburg and Cape Town where receptions will be hosted by British Consulate Officials.

Clive Drinkwater, the International Trade Director for the Chamber, said: "We feel it is imperative to build links and develop commerce globally. South Africa represents both an important and strategic area where we strongly believe these two ambitions can be realised".

The group of companies who will be visiting South Africa come from a diverse background but all are successful in their respective fields and firmly share the belief that South Africa is of paramount importance in the strategic growth of their business.

Adam Slater, Director of one of the ceramic industry participants Dragon&TCKilns, said: "We are always looking to expand into new markets. We currently include China, Bangladesh and India amongst our trading partners, but have received an enormous amount of interest from several South African companies. We are looking forward to a busy and exciting series of meetings when we arrive".

During their time in South Africa, the North Staffordshire Chamber of Commerce & Industry would be pleased to meet with parties interested in building links with the UK. Contact can be made via the website.
