Sacmi Presents Extruded Tile Technology in Russia
The 'Extruded Products' symposium organised by Sacmi Moscow in Russia aroused considerable interest. The convention, held in the Nobel Hall of Moscow's Hotel Katerina, was attended by 23 people representing 13 Russian companies - producers of both extruded and pressed tiles - who had responded to the company's invitation.
The main speakers were Eugenio Ferragina, manager of the extruded products sector, and area manager Vanni Trantini. The initial welcome speech was given by Michele Pulpito, manager of Sacmi Moscow.
The principal topics of the symposium were: the world-wide presence of the Sacmi Group; types of flooring and roofing tiles products; the technology used to produce these tiles; market evolution; Sacmi's products for the extruded tile market; and a presentation of El-Aguila, a modern, technological line for roofing tile production.
On his return from Russia, Vanni Trantini expressed his enthusiasm for the event: "The participants followed the symposium with keen interest. A number of significant contacts were established and we expect to see concrete developments in the near future. Once again, Sacmi has led the way into an unexplored area in which the rewards are there to be reaped by all, not just Sacmi".
