20 Years of Club Success for the Royal Doulton Group
Royal Doulton International Collectors Club celebrates its 20th anniversary in the year 2000. Since its foundation in 1980 the club has gone from strength to strength and now has around 40,000 members worldwide.
Michael Doulton has been Honorary President since the launch of the club. As a direct descendant of the founder of the company, he is himself an avid and knowledgeable collector. Michael attends many of the events and activities organised by the club and is always pleased to meet Royal Doulton enthusiasts.
Michael says, "One of the most fascinating aspects of Royal Doulton is its ever changing and developing products and the constantly moving interests of its collectors, which means that the club can never stand still. During the last 20 years it has grown and developed and I very much enjoy meeting and talking to collectors as I travel the world."
The numerous benefits of club membership attract a great many Royal Doulton collectors, beginners and experts alike. These include free tours of the Royal Doulton Visitor Centre and factory and an historical enquiry service.
