Successful Opening For Rosa Gres Factory in Tarragona

Cerámica Sugrañes SA has announced that the new Rosa Gres tile factory constructed in Vallmoll, Tarragona, Spain has successfully begun operations.

This, said the company, was possible thanks to the efforts, enthusiasm and tenacity of many people. Many were committed to making the dream come true of building a factory with a flexible production line and prospects for the future. This is a factory in which the company intends to create the most innovative, unique and special products.

“The Rosa Gres tradition as a business is to overcome major challenges and seemingly impossible difficulties,” said the company. “Our Vallmoll facility shows that we can start afresh and remain faithful to our ideals. This new factory proves that Rosa Gres is able to rise to any challenge and that the company’s longstanding experience of over 50 years has held it in good stead.

“We have designed a new plant using state-of-the-art technology. This is our formula for improving competitiveness and offering exclusive products that would be impossible to launch on the market without leading-edge technology. We work with the market and our customers in mind at all times. All of our products are manufactured using the technologies most suited to their final purpose and use.”

Rosa Gres will be one of the first factories to combine the two moulding methods for ceramics that are currently used: pressing and extrusion. All products will have a porcelain stoneware finish. The goal is to be one of the most modern factories in the world. To achieve this, the company said it had based its work on three sound values for the future: technology, innovation and sustainability. Sustainability criteria were applied to all of the industrial processes in the design of the factory. This system will allow Cerámica Sugrañes to reuse, recycle, save resources, manage energy effectively and implement management and energy-saving systems.

“With the thrill of the first day still hanging in the air and a 100% positive feeling, we would like to take this opportunity of saying THANK YOU to all those who made such a tremendous effort to make this dream come true; this great project for the future that will place Rosa Gres at the fore of the ceramics industry on a worldwide level,” added the company.

The company’s non-industrial activities, administration and technical, sales and marketing department will continue to be based in Cerdanyola, Catalunya, Spain.
