Proceedings Volume Available from Refractories Meeting
A new volume from Techna Srl presents a broad selection of the papers which were presented at the international symposium 'Refractories: Trends in Research and Applications' held in Florence, Italy in July 2002 as part of CIMTEC 2002.The symposium featured relevant advances in refractory and high temperature thermal insulating ceramic materials as well as recent developments in their design, testing and use in specific applications, especially in metallurgy and in the glassmaking industry.
The book is divided into three main sections:

• Section 2: Manufacturing, Control and Equipment
• Section 3: Refractories Selection, Design and ApplicationHigh level specialists from several countries contribute their views on very relevant aspects in materials research and processing, as well as through updated reviews on topics related to present and prospective applications.
The book is particularly addressed to research and technical personnel in the industry as well as to experts in research centres engaged in the development of new refractories and in the implementation of their use.
