Reed Exhibitions Launches COMPOSITES EUROPE

Reed Exhibitions Deutschland GmbH (Duesseldorf, Germany) has announced that COMPOSITES EUROPE will be inaugurated 20-22 September 2006 in Essen Germany as a joint venture between partners Reed and the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA) - the first ever trade fair for composites in Europe.

The three-day event will focus on composites applications and solutions. The global market for composites amounts to 33 billion euro, with Europe accounting for 35% of the revenue and Germany representing the largest national market in Europe.

Brita Wurz, Event Director at Reed Exhibitions Deutschland, said: "By integrating COMPOSITES EUROPE simultaneously into ALUMINIUM 2006, an existing world trade fair attracting international experts from the areas of research, development and product, we expect a number of synergy effects".

The plan is for the COMPOSITES EUROPE trade fair and accompanying forum, including workshops and product presentations, to take place annually in the most important application markets in Europe. In keeping with this, Reed Exhibitions will hold COMPOSITES EUROPE alternately in Germany, Europe's largest composites market, in even years and other significant market locations in the odd years.
