Porvair Optimises Sanitaryware Pressure Casting Systems

Porvair Ceramics (King's Lynn, Norfolk, England) has developed an optional extra to its successful PC570 range of pressure casting systems that will allow all the process variables to be individually controlled and optimised at each mould station.

The newly designated Individual Mould Station Control (IMSC) Machine enables a wide range of different products to be produced on a single machine. Porvair says that it will benefit sanitaryware manufacturers world-wide by greatly improving flexibility and yields.

The first two machines featuring IMSC were ordered by the Duratex Company of Brazil earlier in the year and have now been successfully installed and commissioned. Duratex is said to be so confident that this new generation machine will provide the flexibility and control necessary to meet the varied demands of the international market that it has already ordered a third machine.
