New Paper Manufactured from High Temperature Insulation Wool


Thermal Ceramics (Bromborough, Wirral, England) has introduced 'Superwool 607(tm) MAX Paper, a new addition to the company's range of paper products from the Superwool 607 family of low biopersistence insulation products. The newly launched product is made with this high temperature insulation wool and is capable of operating to a maximum continuous use temperature of 1200°C.

The company adds that the Superwool 607 MAX high temperature performance is so good that the Fibre is capable of short-term exposure to high temperatures of 1300°C.

Superwool 607 MAX is exonerated from any carcinogenic classification under Nota Q of Directive 97/69/EC on man-made vitreous fibres. It is also exonerated from all restrictions of use in accordance with Annex V Number 7.1 of German Regulations on hazardous substances.
