'Nuisance' Masks Not Good Enough
The Health & Safety Executive (HSE) in the UK has said that people who work with harmful dusts should not be using so-called 'nuisance' dust masks to attempt to protect themselves from exposure.
Along with this warning, the HSE is encouraging the voluntary withdrawal from sale of nuisance dust masks - also known as comfort masks or hygiene masks - and is urging the use of approved CE-marked disposable respirators instead.
