Linn Presents New Furnace

Linn High Therm GmbH (Eschenfelden, Germany), for 37 years a leading manufacturer of industrial and laboratory furnaces has introduced an electrically heated rotary retort furnace/rotary tube furnace for heat treatment (activation) of granulated polymeric resin in constant high quality under nitrogen atmosphere as pulse-batch operation (approximately 50kg).

The furnace features continuously useable trough rotary turnaround. It has a heated length of 2.1 m, three-zone control and a maximum temperature of 1000°C.

There is heating power of 52 kW and the furnace has an inner diameter of insert tube of 500mm; also rpm control, lifting device 0-10°. Linn also mentions protective gas flushed, heated storage vessel (120 l, 400 °C) with shut-off flap and protective gas flushed, water-cooled collecting vessel (120 l) with shut-off flaps.
