Borregaard LignoTech to Increase Prices
Borregaard LignoTech has announced price increases on its full range of lignin-based speciality chemicals with effect from 15 November 2005. For selected product groups the price increase will be up to 20%.
The price increases have been driven primarily by dramatic increases in energy and freight rates in addition to increases in the costs of raw materials. Borregaard will closely follow its cost levels and in addition to price increases also continues a comprehensive cost cutting programme across its entire business portfolio aimed at increasing efficiency and competitiveness in its markets.
These initiatives help ensure that Borregaard LignoTech continues its commitment to its customers and towards further development and expansion of the global lignin chemicals business.
