Jacuzzi UK Places Significant Sleeve Seal Order

CECo Packaging (Huddersfield, West Yorks, England), the manufacturer of specialist package machinery, has announced an order to supply one of the largest sleeve seal units ever to be built in the UK.

The order, from Jacuzzi PLC of Bradford, is to build a complete automatic shrink wrapping solution to enable this manufacturer of bathroom equipment to pack its complete range of variable sized products.

The unit, a TWA 2500 Automatic Sleeve Sealing Station, incorporates a belt driven in-and-out conveyor system and a Fin Seal arrangement. It is controlled via a PLC system and the sealing station, A TS2500 High-Speed Shrink Tunnel, is designed to provide complete sealing for products of different sizes.

Patrick Taylor, managing director of CECo Packaging, said: "Our established reputation for quality manufacture at a competitive price is the reason Jacuzzi placed this order. It is a tribute to the design and engineering skills of our workforce and adds to our growing world-wide reputation for solutions to difficult packaging problems."

The new machine is due for delivery in early February 2001 and, after extensive on-site trials, will be commissioned later in that month.
