V&B Takes Over Itema

Following its takeover of a majority interest recently in the Belgian company Acomo, Villeroy & Boch has also now acquired the Italian company Itema (Castelraimundo). Itema leads the market for acrylic baths in Italy and, with the support of its 150 employees, secures sales of 22 million euros.

In the financial year 2000, the four V&B group business sectors - Tiles, Bathroom & Kitchen, Wellness and Tableware - secured total sales of roughly 940 million euros. Products, including many ceramic items, are manufactured by V&B in 12 European countries. Around 10,000 people are currently employed by the company world-wide.
