Hounsfield to Trade Under Different Name
Hounsfield Test Equipment Ltd (Redhill, Surrey, England) has announced that from January 2004 it will trade under the name Tinius Olsen. The company has been part of the Tinius Olsen Testing Machine Group, a USA group, since 1996.
Hounsfield designs and manufactures materials testing equipment and associated software, as well as other products. The company markets its products in 60 countries through a network of approved distributors. It has just launched two new plastics impact testers into the European market, along with a range of optional equipment including temperature chambers for testing samples at the limits of their operational ranges, an automatic braking system and powered pendulum return.
