Material Testing Enhancement by BSI Product Services

BSI Product Services has recently invested significantly in the enhancement of its Materials Testing facility at Hemel Hempstead (Herts, England) with the addition of a new Testometric M500-50 CT tensile testing unit. Fitted with full length contracting laser extensometers, the M500-50 CT will help BSI to test a greater range of materials and densities including glass, medical, latex, plastics and rubber.

The fully digital testing system will also enable BSI to provide clear electronic data for fast transmission to the clients' own PCs.

Confirming, says BSI, its position as the leading testing organisation, the new unit will help manufacturers ensure that materials are assessed quickly and smoothly, whilst benefiting from BSI’s diverse range of knowledge and experience gained from decades of product testing and certification.

"Clearly we are always looking to provide the very highest standards of testing facilities for our clients and the new tensile testing unit will now enable us to offer a broader range of services", says Floyd Merrison, Project Manager at BSI Product Services.

"Organisations can also benefit from the Kitemark for their end product, which is recognised by 82% of UK adults and is synonymous with quality, integrity and trust."
