New Sanitaryware Plant to be Established in Egypt

A new plant for the manufacture of vitreous china sanitaryware is to be established in the newly developed industrial area of Suez in north east Egypt. Production is expected to reach 500,000 pieces per year and later increase to one million pieces per year. The plant will feature highly automated machines ensuring high productivity levels per capita and top quality ware. The products are mainly intended for export.

Sacmi (Imola, Italy) has gained the contract to supply not only the machines and equipment, but also technical support in order to pass on its know-how regarding the running of the plant and production.

The plant will use automatic casting machines with high pressure resin moulds to manufacture wash basins, stands and flushing cisterns. It will also use automatic machines with plaster moulds to produce WCs.
