Direct Writing Conference 2009

The DWA in connection with the Photonics and Plastic Electronics Knowledge Transfer Network are pleased to advise they will be hosting a conference to address the issues around:

Enabling The Next Generation Of Plastic Electronics

Date:      10th & 11th December 2009
Venue:    Royal Armouries, Armouries Drive, Leeds LS10 1LT

This conference gives a progress update on the key ink jet, direct write and reel to reel printing technologies that are leading contenders for manufacturing these advanced products for new entrants as well as existing practitioners.

Within the plastic electronics market sector there are some key application technologies and materials that are common to many market sectors from flexible displays to smart packaging including Photo Voltaics, Medical and ultra efficient lighting. Advanced materials that have been developed for these technologies will be discussed. This conference will give a complete update on processes and materials that are available for this area.

The Conference will be based on three themes i) Emerging Markets ii) High Profile / Flexible Printed Electronics iii) Opportunities and Way Forward. Each theme will have a key note speaker presenting the overview followed by two to three specific presentations. All presentations will be made available for delegates to take away with them.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to network at the conference dinner.
