Self Supporting Belt Conveyor Covers

Capotex 2000 is a new self supported conveyor cover being launched on to the UK market by H-Tech International Ltd (Altrincham, Cheshire, England). It requires no frame or structure to support the shelter. Capotex innovative design has derived a custom built cover that has an original locking system, hinged on both sides, which acts as both a lever and hinge allowing access to either side. The section and thickness of the material provides the cover with the strength to support its own weight.

The company says that installing the system will prevent the spread of fine materials, minimise wind whipping and defend against the elements that can move the belt from its original position. Protection against the weather also reduces time wastage on stopped production to remove water or condensation that accumulates on the belt or within the system, while providing personal safety to employees.

Covering the conveyor prevents the spread of dust and product particles dispersing into the environment. Capotex is available in a range of cover finishes and is claimed to provide protection to the conveyor components - thereby reducing maintenance costs and stoppages to repair the roller, gears and control points
