Call for Papers for Refractories Colloquium
The 45th International Colloquium on Refractories will take place at the EUROGRESS in Aachen, Germany from 16-17 October 2002 and the organisers have issued a call for papers.
The scheduled topics are as follows:
• Blast furnace, hot blast stove, transport of hot metal
• Direct reduction process
• Melting, holding and casting of iron, steel and non-ferrous metals
• Refractory raw materials
• Shaped and unshaped refractories
• Processing and refractory full lining service
• Metal-slag-refractory reactions
• Wear mechanism
• Quality management
• RecyclingPapers can be submitted for a 20-minute presentation. An abstract of a minimum of one page with the title of the paper (in German and English), names, addresses, fax number and e-mail address of the authors need to be submitted. The presenting author and language of presentation need to be specified. Papers which have already been published or orally presented elsewhere are not acceptable. The deadline for submission is 22 March 2002. Authors will be advised about selection by the middle of May 2002.
