CERA’s Net Profit Up by 76%

India’s premium bathroom solutions major, CERA Sanitaryware Limited has announced its unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30th September 2008, which was approved by its Board of Directors at its meeting held at Kolkata, showing a 40% jump in its net sales as compared to corresponding quarter in the previous year. The sales leaped from Rs.2947.41 Lakhs to Rs.4140.37 lakhs.

The net profit also grew by 76% from Rs. 215.23 lakhs to Rs. 379.05 lakhs. The operating profit also shot up by 52%, from Rs.518.35 lakhs to Rs.789.56 lakhs.

The EPS (annualized) also showed a quantum leap from Rs.14.08 to Rs.24.49.Commenting on the company's performance, Mr. Vidush Somany, Director, CERA Sanitaryware Limited said, "The results depict the robust performance of the company, which is in line with our strategy to keep up the pace and performance to serve the interest of our stakeholders. The company has shown strong performance across the entire spectrum of operations, and based on strong fundamentals, we are confident to continue growing robustly in future as well."
