Thermal Ceramics Receives ISO 14001 at Augusta

Thermal Ceramics Inc has announced that its Augusta, GA, USA facility has received the ISO 14001 certification. The cornerstone of the ISO 14000 series, the ISO 14001 standard specifies a framework of control for an Environmental Management System (EMS) against which an organisation can be certified by a third party.

The ISO 14001 system is a series of international standards on environmental management that Thermal Ceramics has chosen to implement globally. It provides a framework for the development of an environmental management system and the supporting audit programme.

The Thermal Ceramics EMS provides a framework for managing environmental impacts in order to improve the efficiency and integration of these systems in the overall business operations. However, says the company, much more than this, its effective EMS will reduce costs, improve efficiency and help secure a competitive advantage.
