North Staffs Chamber of Commerce & Industry AGM - Focusing on North America

The Chairman of the International Trade Committee, Adrian Allen, and the Director of International Trade, Helen Foxley, are inviting interested parties to join them for Christmas Lunch at the Annual General Meeting of the North Staffordshire International Trade Committee, which will include guest speakers from the British American Business Council, HSBC and Barringtons Ltd.  There will also be case studies from local companies, Dudson, Steelite International plc and EOS Risk Management, who are reaping the rewards of the US market.

As North America is the UK’s largest export market BABC will give you an insight into trading with the US and the new challenges and opportunities facing companies post the Presidential election.  Colin Woodward, Barringtons Ltd, will explain about tax issues for exporters including the pitfalls and where benefits can be obtained in his presentation ‘VAT and Customs Duties – Traps and Opportunities’.  HSBC will give you a financial insight into the US banking systems. 

Programme – Registration and Coffee at 09.15 hours.  Presentations begin at 09.30 hours and the AGM will commence at 12.15 hours followed by Christmas lunch. 
 
Location      – Wedgwood Visitor Centre, Barlaston, Stoke-on-Trent

The AGM and Christmas Lunch are being sponsored by HSBC and are free to Chamber Members and exporters.
