ZIRCAR Ceramics Acquires TIMCO
ZIRCAR Ceramics Inc - ZCI - (Florida, NY, USA) has acquired assets of Thermal Insulation Machining Co Inc - TIMCO - formerly of Phoenix, NY, USA.ZCI, which has grown from the success of the former ZIRCAR Products Inc, is a manufacturer of a wide range of high performance fibrous ceramic thermal and electrical insulation materials. The company's products serve markets including fibre optic fibre and cable production, solid oxide fuel cells, powder metal and electronic ceramics sintering, laboratory furnace manufacturers and others - all with applications requiring the highest performance insulation materials.
With the acquisition of the TIMCO assets, ZCI expands its custom machining capabilities to include three large CNC router tables, two panel saws, two wide-belt sanders, three lathes, three drill presses, three radial arm saws and a host of other fabrication equipment. ZIRCAR is now serving former TIMCO customers out of its Florida, New York headquarters and manufacturing facilities.
