KEMET Expands Ceramic X5R MLCC Portfolio

KEMET Corp (Greenville, SC, USA) has announced the addition of new high capacitance offerings to its X5R ceramic surface mount portfolio.

The latest releases offer capacitance ranges from 0.12 microfarads to 1.0 microfarads in the 0402 case size at a rated voltage of 6.3V. These miniaturised components provide circuit functions such as decoupling and output filtering to cellular phones and other portable electronic devices, such as PDAs and DSCs.

Newest capacitance values are available in the X5R dielectric and in K (10%) and M (20%) tolerances. All parts are environmentally friendly, in compliance with RoHS legislation.

"KEMET is pleased to announce the newest additions to our rapidly expanding MLCC portfolio of Hi-CV solutions," said CEO Per-Olof Loof. "We are committed to providing the latest in leading-edge technology to fulfill customer demand."
