The new vitreous china sanitaryware production plant being supplied by SACMI Whiteware to the Midland Construction Corporation in Vietnam in now nearing completion. The plant, located in Da Nang in central Vietnam, consists of a complete production line for the manufacture of some 300,000 pieces per year. SACMI Whiteware will be covering every single stage of the production process: machines for the preparation of bodies and glazes; casting benches; dryers; and tunnel kilns.

This is the second plant to be built by SACMI in Vietnam and is similar to the first, supplied to the Thien Thanh Sanitary Wares Companies in Ho Chi Minh City, completed at the end of 1996. The company gained valuable experience on the Thien Thanh project put towards the successful completion of this Midland Construction Corporation plant.

It will provide the customer with know-how for the production of bodies and glazes from local raw materials and also the engineering skills needed for the construction works, the industrial systems and locally supplied elements.
