Tecnargilla Announces 2008 Dates

Rimini Fiera SpA, the organiser of the Tecnargilla exhibition, has announced the next show's organisational machine is getting into gear and the dates of the 21st edition have now been officially announced as 30 September to 4 October 2008 in the Rimini exhibition centre. Tecnargilla will be held in the same period as Cersaie (Bologna) to emphasise the importance of the Italian ceramic sector and to enable international visitors to attend both shows in a single trip.

In 2006 Tecnargilla's exhibition space was 90,000 square metres and the show attracted more than 30,000 visitors (including over 11,000 from outside Italy). There were 750 exhibitors, with some 300 from outside Italy being represented, more than 37% of the total.

The top ten countries of origin of visitors included most of the world's leading ceramic producers: Spain (11.5% of foreign visitors), Brazil (6.4%), Turkey (5.4%), Germany (4.5%), Russia (4.1%), China (3.5%), Iran (3.5%), Poland (2.9%), Portugal (2.8%) and Mexico (2.4%).

Rimini Fiera has further announced that Tecnargilla will retain its biennial frequency and will again be hosting the same theme sections as in 2006: the fourth Kromatech, the aesthetics and colour show that is enjoying increasing success in terms of participation and appreciation amongst industry professionals; the third Claytech, the show devoted to heavy clay technologies; and the second Kermat, the space devoted to advanced ceramics.
