Chinese Refractories Symposium Changes Dates
Since the first circular concerning the 4th International Symposium on Refractories was distributed, the organisers say that they have received suggestions from several international co-sponsors and advisors that this symposium should be postponed in order to avoid clashing with some other refractory societies' meetings in both Europe and Asia. The symposium was originally scheduled for 14-18 October 2002.It will now take place in Dalian in PR China from 24-28 March 2003 instead. The major topics will be:
• Tendencies of Refractory Industry in China and the Wider World.
• Natural and Synthetic Raw Materials.
• Refractories for the Iron and Steel Industry.
• Refractories for the Cement, Glass and Ceramic Industries.
• Refractories for Other Industries.
• Advances in Refractories Basic Research.
• Advances in Refractories Manufacture, Installation and Equipment.
• Process Control, Quality Control and Assurance.
• Energy Saving Techniques, Recycling and Environmental Issues.A limited amount of space will be available for exhibitors. Interested companies and institutions are invited to contact the symposium secretariat for reservations.
