The appointment has been announced of Howard Ingleson as Managing Director of Syfer Technology Ltd (Norwich, Norfolk, England). The announcement was made by Dover Electronics, part of the Dover Corporation of USA.

Howard, a graduate of York University with a BSc in Physics, joined Syfer in 1995 from Oxley where he was the Business Manager of the EMI filter division. He was brought in to Syfer to spearhead the introduction of EMI filter products, moving on to Quality and Environmental Manager in 1999, Sales and Marketing Manager in 2004 and latterly European Sales Manager in 2005 for the newly formed cluster sales organisation, the CPG.

Howard has been part of the Syfer management team through the last 10 years of rapid growth and brings to the job a complete understanding of the company's products from both engineering and sales fronts.

Syfer Technology has been part of the Dover Corporation since 2000 and is one of the CPG Companies within Dover Electronics.

Syfer has been manufacturing multilayer ceramic capacitors for over 35 years. This wealth of experience in designing and manufacturing MLCCs has enabled the company to develop a wide range of multilayer ceramic products. Its comprehensive product range includes many application-specific capacitors as well as standard voltages and capacitance values. All products are available in small, medium and large volumes. The company also designs and manufactures a range of EMI filters including surface mount types for PCB applications, as well as threaded and solder-in panel-mounted styles.

Company approvals include ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001, reflecting the importance it places on product quality and reliability.

Typical applications for the wide range of products include telecoms, power supplies, industrial, automotive, aerospace, space, inverters and backlighting circuits for liquid crystal displays, and this is supported by the various product approvals currently held, including CECC, UL and TÜV.
