Sok Doubles Size and Targets Europe for Sanitaryware

Zao Syzranskaya Keramica, part of Russia’s Sok Group, is located in the city of Syzran and officially started up in mid-2007. At the end of that year it announced plans for expansion of the modern sanitaryware plant.

The Syzran production plant is now increasing its production capacity from 500,000 to 800,000 pieces/year with good prospects for further development in the export market to the European Community. Already a partner of Sacmi for the manufacture of tiles in porcelainised stoneware – two of the three kilns installed are currently operating with a daily output of approximately 10.000 square metres – Sok has been able to rely not just on the technological excellence of Sacmi machinery, but also on its expert consultancy in terms of specific know-how related to the body and glaze of the sanitaryware using Russian raw materials.

Together with Sok, Sacmi’s technicians have also developed new modelling and a technical and technological training service for all the customer’s personnel.
