New Tableware Kiln for Saturnia

Saturnia Sas (Cività Castellana, Viterbo, Italy) has doubled the number of
Sacmi kilns that it operates by purchasing a new TRK roller kiln for
tableware. The new kiln is 84 metres long with a useful width of 2.75
metres.

The new TRK kiln, bigger than the similar one purchased in 2000, started
production at the beginning of April 2003, just one month after start-up.

The company's tableware items are fired on refractory plates at temperatures
of 1250°C with a cycle of approximately 130 minutes.

Saturnia - a well known manufacturer from Cività Castellana - was
established in the 1960s to manufacture porcelain crockery and holds the UNI
EN ISO 9002-94 certification.
