China Ceramic Exhibition Falls Victim to SARS Epidemic
The SARS epidemic has caused the postponement of the 17th International Ceramics Industry Exhibition (Ceramics China 2003), which was due to take place in Guangzhou in China's Guangdong Province later this month. The postponement follows canvassing of exhibitors and visitors and also Chinese Government advice.The exhibition is now expected to take place at one of two venues - either the China Foreign Trade Center or the Guangzhou International Convention & Exhibition Center - in the autumn of this year.
The organisers and sponsors, Union Fair & Trade Co Ltd and the China Ceramics Industrial Association, said that all agreements and application forms for this show submitted by exhibitors would remain effective during the postponement period; the committee promised to keep rights and interests of each exhibitor during the year and said it would help with handling exhibit stopover formalities on the Chinese mainland and shipment related matters during the postponement period.
