QUALICER Announces Call for Papers
A call for papers has been issued by the organisers of QUALICER 2002 - The World Congress on Ceramic Tile Quality - taking place in Castellon, Spain from 3-6 March 2002. Authors are invited to submit two kinds of communications to be delivered at the congress:
GROUP 1 - MANUFACTURING Raw materials and semi-processed products for bodies and surface treatments, as well as their preparation. Industrial processes, equipment and facilities. Technological product innovation. Standardisation; ISO standards 9000 and 14000. Testing and quality certification. Sorting. Technical marketing. Packaging, transport and distribution. Production management. Total, step-wise production process quality management Environment.
GROUP 2 - USE Finished products and their specific uses. Industrial ceramic design. Formal innovation in ceramic wall and floor tile. Using ceramic tile in architecture and interior decoration. Exterior tiling. Special applications. Ceramics and the architectural heritage. Renovation. Tile fixing technology, materials and design. Quality controls on tiles backgrounds. Preventing and diagnosing installation pathologies. Quality controls on tiles backgrounds. Prefabricated materials.
Resumes must be submitted by 30 June 2001 and authors will be informed in July 2001 regarding initial acceptance of their work. Instructions for complete paper submission will then be issued and the technical committee will perform the second, definitive selection process in November 2001 based on the complete work.
