Ceramic Tile Manufacturing Facility For Sale Through Mohr Corp

Summitville Tiles Inc (Summitville, OH, USA) has announced the offer for sale of its Morganton manufacturing facilities in North Carolina through Exclusive Sales Agents, Mohr Corporation. This modern 196,000 square foot facility was constructed new in the late 1980s as a glazed porcelain tile manufacturing plant with the latest state-of-the-art manufacturing machinery and equipment.

Plant capacity is now approximately 190,000 square feet of tile per week with the one present standard production kiln now installed. There are provisions to accommodate an additional kiln that would double production output with the other existing equipment satisfactory to meet this output.

SITI was the original prime contractor for machinery and equipment, the bulk of which was manufactured in Italy. Present tooling is for 8in x 8in, 12in x 12in and 16in x 16in tile sizes. Bodies are prepared with the spray drying process, pressed with the latest Rossi presses and glazed and fired in modern SITI-provided equipment and roller hearth kiln.
