Ceramic Ideas Transported to Gloucester Road

'Metaphor: The Transportation of Ideas' is the title of the latest show at what must rate as London's most unusual art gallery - Gloucester Road Underground Station.

Eight students from the Royal College of Art (RCA) will be exhibiting works in Ceramic and Glass. Each piece in the show reflects the themes of communication, transportation and the media that facilitate the exchange of ideas to take place. All works were created with the architecture of Gloucester Road Station in mind.

Students at the RCA are already accomplished artists studying for post graduate degrees. The eight artists whose works feature in this exhibition come from all over the world and are working towards an MA in Ceramics and Glass from the RCA's Applied Art Department.

Metaphor runs until 2 July 2001.
