Sira Certifies CBISS to MCERTS

As the appointed certification body for the Environment Agency's MCERTS scheme (Monitoring Certification Scheme), Sira Certification Service (Chislehurst, Kent, England) has recently issued a new MCERTS certificate to CBISS Ltd.

The certification has been awarded to the company's new MIR9000 Multi Gas Analyser, which allows continuous measurement of up to 10 components from HCl, SO2, NOx, CO, CO2, N2O, NH3, THC, CH4, HF, H2O and O2 using infrared absorption spectroscopy with Gas Filter Correlation (GFC).

The system, which is manufactured by CBISS' French partner Environnement SA, is a continuous emissions monitoring system (CEMS).

The quality and versatility of the MIR9000 has led to CEMS installations in cogeneration gas turbines, electrical power plants, hazardous waste incinerators, cement kilns, industrial boilers, chemical and petrochemical plants and glass plants.

Sira Certification Service's Chief Executive, Ian Knott, presented the MCERTS certificate to CBISS Managing Director Peter McCue recently.
