Marazzi Invests and Chooses System SpA as Partner
Marazzi Group, world leader in the production of floorings and wall coverings in ceramics, is facing up to the global crisis with a series of important investments relying on the experience and quality of System SpA, a leader in automation for the ceramic industry.
The important supply agreement sees System involved in various areas that range from the supply of equipment dedicated to quality control up to selecting lines. The investment by Marazzi is finalised for the renewal of the product range both for floorings and wall coverings. In order to obtain doubling of the production, a BS06 selecting line with a Falcon Palletiser portal has been added to the plant in Casiglie. The investment for quality control is also important and sees two new Qualitron NG systems able to control sizes up to 1200mm x 1500mm.
In the production plant for coverings the whole selecting department has been revised by means of a BS04 and two portal Falcon palletisers while the quality control for flatness, in this case, is carried out by the new Redline system. The innovative selecting lines, featuring FV08 and F50/V60, are added to this new supply contract.
The other area in which the Marazzi group have decided to invest was that concerning special pieces relying on a new offer: Qualitron NG for the quality control of skirtings. Qualitron NG further confirms itself as a standard for automatic selection, with the supply of four new units to the American plants of the group.
