Limoges to Host 3rd Ceramic Innovation Meeting
CERAMIC NETWORK, the third international event concerning ceramic innovation, will take place in October 2002 in Limoges, France and will be centred this year around the theme of 'Industrial Applications and New Uses'. In 1999, CERAMIC NETWORK brought together more than 700 professionals around the theme of ceramics, design and innovation.CERAMIC NETWORK 2002 will hold a business convention and technological exchanges, conferences, round table discussions and exhibitions of prototypes, over three days in a single place - the Parc d'Ester. This year, the emphasis will be welcoming European scientific and industrial delegations. These exchanges and meetings aim to consolidate the image of Limoges as a European centre of ceramics and to offer those professional involved in ceramics - manufacturers, suppliers, distributors, designers and creators - a forum for exchanges around the theme of industrial applications and new uses.
Within the framework of the Details in Architecture exhibition, the Centre de Recherche sur les Arts du Feu et de la Terre (CRAFT - Research Centre for Fire and Earth Crafts) will present prototypes designed for the occasion by four renowned European architectural agencies which have been invited to work on new uses of ceramics in contemporary building.
CERAMIC NETWORK is organised by the Agency Regionale de Developpement du Limousin (ARD), the Agence Francaise de l'Innovation (ANVAR) and the Centre Relais Innovation Sud-Ouest (CRI) in collaboration with CRAFT and all those in the field of ceramics in Limousin.
