Industrial Furnaces Conference
INFUB (Rio Tinto, Portugal) has announced that the 6th European Conference on Industrial Furnaces and Boilers will take place in Estoril, Lisbon, Portugal from 2-5 April 2002. Past conferences have featured around 90 papers each and, in particular, have attracted many participants from industry. The wide range of papers have considered fundamental research as well as topics of a more practical and applied nature.
The conference programme will consist of both oral and poster sessions. Each session will commence with a keynote paper which will be delivered by an internationally recognised authority. Keynote Speakers already announced are: Professor Klaus Hein (Stuttgart University); Professor Wolfgang Leuckel (Engle-Bunte-Institut); Dr Barrie Jenkins (British Flame Research Committee); Professor Alan Williams (Leeds University's Dept of Fuel & Energy); Professor Paul Lybaert (Faculte Polytechnique de Mons); and Dr Jean Bernard Michel (Centre Suisse d'Electronique et de Microtechnique).
All other papers will be refereed prior to final acceptance and will be presented either orally or as posters. It is intended that these papers will cover a wide range of appropriate technical topics and will feature recent R&D as well as dealing with practical applications of current technologies.
Authors wishing to present papers should submit abstracts of about 300 words stating clearly and concisely the purpose of the paper, the method of approach and significant results and conclusions. The names and affiliations of all authors should be included. Four copies of this abstract need to be submitted no later than 10 July 2001.
