HSIL Gains New ISO Certification
Hindustan Sanitaryware & Industries Ltd (HSIL, India) - one of the leading sanitaryware manufacturers in South Asia - has obtained ISO 9001-2000 certification and is now the only Indian sanitaryware manufacturer to have both this and ISO 14001 certification, which it does for its Rohtak plant in Haryana.
This plant has also won an energy conservation award recently in the ceramics sector from the Government of India. All HSIL plants had already won ISO 9002 certification.
This news follows the earlier announcement by HSIL of its plans to become a total bathroom solutions provider and the tie-up with world leaders - such as Grohe - in pursuit of this.
