Francis Ceramics to Exhibit at HD (Hospitality Design) Expo 2008

International Business Wales will be supporting a contingent of Welsh businesses attending the HD (Hospitality Design) Expo 2008 - taking place in Las Vegas from the 15th – 17th of May.

One of the exhibiting companies will be Francis Ceramics which was established in 1980 and has since earned a reputation both in the UK and overseas for supplying high quality, hand-painted delft ceramics and tiles.

For the past two years the company has concentrated solely on tiling and is able to offer a hand-painted, bespoke tiling service to interior designers, architects and specifiers. The range includes traditional delft style and contemporary tile designs, with typical projects including installations in restaurants, cafes, hotels and private houses.

The company is run by Michael and Carol Francis, both fine art graduates who trained at the Royal College of Art and the Royal Academy Schools respectively. Carol is enthusiastic about the potential HD Expo can offer, saying:

“We regularly work with the international hotel industry and understand its demands, so we can create stunning pieces that add that all-important eye-catching feature. We’re currently working on a pre-Raphaelite mural for a spa in Miami and are planning to use HD Expo to develop contacts for similar international projects.”

Francis Ceramics has acquired an impressive customer base that reflects its commitment to customer care, supplying orders to over thirty countries. Customers include: The Victoria and Albert Museum; Harrods; Fortnum and Mason; Kensington Palace; The Royal Horticultural Society; Rick Stein; Harvey Nichols; Rocco Forte Hotels; Nina Campbell.
