Excess Air Burner

G Kromschröder AG (Osnabrück, Germany) has launched its new Excess Air Burner BIC-L, which has the capability of providing operation at excess air up to approximately 1500%. Burner sizes are available from 255,975 Btu/hr (75kW) to 1,023,900 Btu/hr (300kW).

The company says that the burner features high flame outlet velocity, wide control range, reliable ignition at all capacities and large excess air capability. It is of modular, low maintenance construction and is said to offer economical operation and high momentum transfer even with a low burner output. The burners can be used with natural gas or LPG and bespoke length versions can be manufactured. The burners use a time-tested SiC combustion chamber.

The BIC-L is said to be suitable for all applications in which precise temperature control and uniform product quality are required. The even temperature distribution in the furnace over the entire capacity range of the burner offers considerable benefits, adds Kromschröder, particularly in the ceramic industry.
