Egyptian Tilemaker Continues to Expand

Aracemco, the Egyptian tile and sanitaryware manufacturing company, has continued its rapid expansion. The company has installed important new items of production machinery, including an SSK440170-8 shuttle kiln with a volume of 78.8 cubic metres for the firing and re-firing of sanitaryware items. Start-up of the new plant was effected in January 2002.

The company now produces around 4 million square metres of tile and 10,500 tons of sanitaryware per annum. This investment follows the installation of a tunnel kiln in 1999. The new shuttle kiln features cutting edge control and temperature systems to ensure top quality.

Aracemco successfully exports to Italy, Holland, Cyprus, Greece, Jordan, Libya and Cote d'Ivoire.
