Austral Installs Robotic Dehacking at Riverview

The Austral Brick Company Pty Ltd - a wholly owned subsidiary of Brickworks Ltd - has recently commissioned its first ever robot to assist in the speed of dehacking and unloading of bricks.

The Fanuc robot, designated ROD (Robot Operated Dehacker), was manufactured in Japan and subsequently installed in Austral's Riverview factory in Queensland, Australia. This state-of-the-art technology enables Austral to pack on pallets or packs and increases productivity with the output of packaged bricks.

The company added that the commissioning of ROD was part of its commitment to manufacturing with the latest technology, ensuring efficiency of production and ensuring that the quality of Austral's products are of the highest standard possible, now and in the future.
